Feathers In The Dark

Why are there so little sites on Kia Asamiya's Dark Angel? WHY?! *coughs* Oh well, maybe I'll get some of you to start reading Dark Angel as well... and build websites. ^_~
Dark Angel is a manga drawn by Kia Asamiya, also the creator of Silent Moebius, Martian Successor Nadesico and Steam Detectives. I'm hoping to finish the summaries of the volumes soon.
I first bumped into Dark Angel when I explored the comic store in my city... there was only Volume 2 but I fell for the wonderful artwork and bought it. Later I ordered #1 at the same store and bought #3 on a comic market for only half of its original price... heh. And then I found #4 and #5 in Paris for only 1/4 of their original prices! Damn >:)
What I like best about Dark Angel is the fact that its world is huge and richly detailed. Dark may be the main character, but other characters turn out to be important as well. I guess you could read it as an historical event of one big fantasy world. I don't know... I just like stories with many characters ^_^
About the artwork; Kia Asamiya is known as a master of the arts and that sure isn't an exaggerated fact. Dark Angel contains humor (though he isn't good at drawing SD), fantasy, horror and even scifi. The sphere of the story can vary from thriller to romance. Make sure to check your local comic/bookstore for it, go visit comic markets... whatever. It's probably cheaper than ordering them from online stores. Try to find the American magazine called 'Previews' (sold at every comic store) to order manga. If you can't find any shops you could try the links in the disclaimer below.
